EZ Meter contains a range of professional instruments for water quality measurement in aquaculture. It is simple to use and can give quick and accurate results, allowing farmers to regularly monitor water quality at economical cost.

There are many water quality variables in aquaculture pond affecting the survival, reproduction, growth, or management of the aquatic animals in any way. All other things being equal, a pond with good water quality will produce more and healthier fish than a pond with poor water quality. It is critical to regularly monitor water quality variables to ensure that they are maintained at appropriate values; otherwise, proper action or solution should be taken to avoid stressful or toxic conditions and mortality of the aquatic animals.


EZ-pH Meter for measuring pH of water Daily fluctuation in pH results from changes in the rate of photosynthesis by phytoplankton, animal waste, and chemicals adding to the pond. Rapid pH fluctuations can cause stress to aquatic animals resulting in low productivity and mortality.


EZ-TDS 1 Meter and EZ-TDS 2 Meter for measuring total dissolved solids in water. A required level of minerals in the water is necessary for aquatic life. Changes in the amounts of dissolved solids can be harmful because the density of total dissolved solids determines the flow of water in and out of an organism's cells and regulates osmolarity in aquatic animals. Concentrations that are too high or too low may limit the growth and may lead to mortality.

TDS is based on the electrical conductivity (EC) of water. Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are the total amount of cations or anions, including minerals, salts or metals dissolved in a given volume of water, expressed in units of mg per unit volume of water (mg/L), also referred to as parts per million (ppm). Pure water has virtually zero conductivity. In general, the total dissolved solids concentration is the sum of the cations (positively charged) and anions (negatively charged) ions in the water.


EZ- Redox Meter for measuring the effectiveness of waste conversion, better understanding of the water quality, and evaluating the effectiveness of probiotics. EZ-Redox Meter provides redox potential or the effectiveness of waste conversion mostly by the nitrification. Large amounts of nitrogen enter ponds in feeds, and substantial quantities of ammonia enter water in metabolic wastes of the culture species and from decomposition of uneaten feed and feces. Ammonia is toxic to aquatic life and toxicity is affected by pond pH. Therefore, it is important to understand the nitrogen cycle to be able to manage the pond system efficiently.

EZ-Redox Meter can help to evaluate the effectiveness of probiotic applications in activating the nitrification cycle. A well balanced microbial load would help in efficient cycling of nitrogen in the aquatic environment. Probiotic with bacillus and other beneficial microorganisms may be used to help reduce ammonia. Probiotic creates bacterial community to convert ammonia into less toxic forms that are utilized by plants and algae for growth.


EZ-DO Meter for dissolved oxygen in water Dissolved oxygen is probably the most critical water quality variable in aquaculture ponds. DO in a culture system must be maintained above levels considered stressful to fish and shrimp. Typically, oxygen levels are lowest just before dawn and highest in the late afternoon.


EZ-Salinity Meter for measuring water salinity A refractometer that gauges salinity using light reflection. The total concentration of all ions in the water is its salinity. Each species had an optimal salinity range. This range allows the fish to efficiency regulate their internal body fluid composition of ions and water or osmoregulation
